"Liberal" is becoming less of an epithet, mostly thanks to George Bush, who may have single handedly destroyed the NEOCON movement.

However, the English language frequently has words that have similar letter groupings that have nothing to do with each other. In fact, the sometimes even have the same SPELLINGS and mean nothing similar.

***** Lead - a very heavy, toxic metal
***** Lead - to coordinate a group in an activity

Your list of nasty words, though entertaining, is pointless.

it doesn't matter what spelling they have or share with other words. Liberal is derived from the word Liberated meaning free. People might associate this with free-loving hippies or careless irresponsible people. but with the second half of your question you are being every bit as prejudice as the other people.

because conservatives assume that discrimination and blind obedience means christian values, which is why Jesus protested taxes, defied authority and helped the poor, just like proper conservatives do. we all know only a liberal president would send thousands of people to die and then lie about why he did it.

I looked up exact definitions of both words and really.....I don't see much of a difference....I see similarities of each, in the other.....

I guess I'm just too much of a gray-thinker.....boxes make me itchy....

Not a really great argument. You can't hate all conservatives, if they're true conservatives, and not just FOX watching, money hungry, women cheating, dirtbags.
