I am breastfeeding my 3 month old and have slight red dots developing on my breasts. There aren't very many of them and my son doesn't have thrush. Also I think my milk supply is reducing considerably...does anyone know what this may be? They don't hurt, but my breasts do feel itchy.

IT could be several things, many aren't that serious. Could be that you aren't getting your breast DRY as it needs to be afterwards, could be his little hands on your breast, I remember having what I thought almost looked like acne while breastfeeding and it was gone as soon as I was done, I wrote it off as the fact that between their hands and mine on them more and leaking breasts and changes pads, etc etc it was causing it and for me luckily it quit when the breastfeeding did.
Your supply might just need some help FROM your son, he could be having a growth spurt and it may seem as though you don't have enough 'groceries' to satisfy him, but if you want to build your supply, let him nurse a bit more often and definitely empty your breasts at afeeding. THey are a supply and demand sysytem, if he demands more they will bump up the supply. Try make sure you're getting enough fluids, and rest for sure, that affects supply as well.

First answer good. It may be just a rash from the moisture of the baby's mouth. After the baby finish, try washing the breast and dry it well. A hair drier on low heat makes a good breast drier. Other than that, you may want to ask your Doctor.

It could be a lot of different things. Increase your fluids and go see your doctor. Only a doctor is going to know if it's an infection, a rash, an allergy or what. Best Wishes!
