Some night's I do sleep well but not often, I know I'm overweight and I'm also working on that. I need some techniques to overcome my stress at work and to be able to sleep better at night without medication.

Exercise is a miracle worker for stress. Start going for long walks after work and eat a bit healthier. Should help within two weeks.
