You can't "try" to bring the darkness in you to the forefront any more than you can prevent day from becoming night and night from becoming day. The darkness and light within you are cyclical. Even if you are a very moral person, even moral persons have perverse thoughts, especially of revenge. What moral person who has been seen a family member murdered has not clamored for "justice" in some way or another (through the death penalty, life imprisonment, etc.).

Instead, you should learn to control both the darkness and light in you. You should strive to understand what is making the darkness come forth. Why are you angry? Why do you want revenge? What is making the light come forth? Is it altruism? Or is there an ulterior motive involved.

Light and dark of are one and the same. Darkness is the backside of lightness. Its like the yin and yang symbol. How the white and dark and swirled together with a black dot on the white side and a white dot on the black side. There is no complete whiteness and complete blackness.

I guess you can say that light and dark is a person. With the light being the front of the face and dark the back of the face. They may never have the same view of something but they may not know each other but they are still there.

There is no need to fear 'the light'; theoretically speaking walking towards the 'light' is bad. bah too much thinking for this question, later.

Light overcomes the darkness, so there is nothing to fear.

The only problem is that the shadows may "slam the door" as they are being pushed out.

This is a nice resource on the light and how to increase that light.

Why would I fear the darkness or the light.....They are both parts of who I am and always will be... When things get dark ( like now) I prefer to think on the beauties of the dawn that must eventually come.

..I have seen both, but prefer light to darkness anyday. ( I don't trip over my shoes that way.LOL)

Neither ideas really exist other than in philosophical thought. You are conditioned to respond to situations based on past programming. The idea of light or dark, good or bad, are only assigned values that are used in an attempt to justify or reject any action within society. They have no real meaning and do nothing to help us live.

I fear the darkness more. And go through a lot of effort to keep it hidden from everyone I know. Sometime's I get the urge to let it loose though. And when I'm drunk I do.
