you're not really clear on your question, could you vague that up for us a little?
The victims can go thru Stockholm Syndrome, like Patty Hearst did, where you start to identify with your captors, which is understandable because you are dependent on them for your life, for food, for everything while you are held captive. Your mind flips a switch "I need them to like me if I'm going to live" so you try to become one of them. Same thing happens in cults.
For kidnappers, it is Federal crime, so you can have not only the police, but also the FBI hunting you down. It is a very serious crime.

It is considered a felony and you could spend a very long time in jail.
