I think that if they wanted to go undefeated they could but all they care about is the super bowl. Yes Brady is/will be considered the best of all time.

Good question.

Ok, the Patriots have a shot at going undefeated if a few things happen.

First is that if Tom Brady doesn't get hurt. They will not go undefeated without Tom. The second is that if they play their starters for the last few games before the play offs. They could lose one near the end if they choose not to play their starters. But Indy and Pittsburg will be tough games.

Brady may go down as the greatest. Stats don't mean much to me. I mean Manning is impressive, and a great quarterback. And he has had superior stats to Brady in the past. But Brady has 3 superbowls, to Mannings 1. There is something that can not be measured in statistics. And thats just the desire and capability to put your team in position to win. Thats what Brady has, and is continuing to do. If Brady wins his 4th this year, he may go down as the best ever.

Keep in mind, he still has years after this one.

They will lose and probably to someone they really shouldn't lose to. They've got some difficult games left on the schedule, at Baltimore and at Indy won't be easy. Playing Pittsburgh won't be easy either. Though I think they will probably lose at Buffalo, because no one would see it coming and those are the games that normally end up hurting the Pats.

As for Brady going down as the best QB of all time...he isn't even the best QB right now. Sure he's got some great numbers right now, but he's got a very good offensive line that gives him all day to throw the ball, plus he has what is most likely the best receiving corp in the NFL. I've never played football outside of my back yard before, but if I were the QB for the Pats this year even I would look like a Pro Bowler.

I don't think they will go undefeated because that is too much pressure, but who knows. What would happen if Pats go 16-0 & in first round of play-offs they lose. Will 16-0 record mean less then? Tom Brady is a great QB & I am a big fan of his,but all time best, I really don't know. Joe Montana in my books will go down as best all-time QB Then don't forget about Marino, Favre, Unitas, P. Manning, just to name a few.

The chance of going undefeated is mathematically possible.

If there's no injury to Brady, the chance is probably about 15-20% right now based on the opposition in the next 9 games and where it will be played. Multiply that by the chance oif Brady being injured and you'll probably be somewhere around 9-12% chance.

As a 16.5 point favorite at home this week, this would make them about a 95-97% chance of a win.

As a 1-2 pont favorite in Indianapolis, they will probably have a 52-53% chance of a win.

just kepe multiplying them out based on the theoretical spread (0=50%, -7 = 85% -14 = 93% etc etc) and you'll get it. it's just simple math at this point.

Anyone thinks that the Steelers will win in new england is smoking too much weed.

The Pats schedule so far this seanson hasnt been too much of a challange for them. I do believe that at the rate brady is goin he will break numerous records this seanson. I dont think that therr gunna go undefeated though. Im waiting for the indy ne game to come up and see whos gunna pull out i bet taht ne losses at least 2 games this seanson, and if brady wins another superbowl, i think he'll go down as one of the greatest QB's to ever play the sport along with Montana and Elway.

No, they won't go undefeated. They will however beat the Colts. They will finish 18-1, winning the Super Bowl in a rout over Dallas or Green Bay.

The odds of any team, Indianapolis or New England, going unbeaten... well... they're about the same as winning the lottery, I think. Everybody in the league is gunning for the Colts and the Pats so they have to be on their A-game every single week. All another team needs is a bad day from the Pats and, boom, NE has a loss.

New Study out on the New England Patriots:
With X = to the number of biased/ignorant people who think the Patriots will go undefeated

And Y = to the likelihood that the Patriots will go undefeated

This new study suggests that:
Y = 0
therefore, it doesn't matter how many Patriot fans get on here and claim to be the greatest team ever.........they still aren't going to go undefeated.

Example:
X=1,257

X * Y = ?
1,257 * 0 = ZERO

Just thought I'd share this revolutionary breakthrough
