The poor family that earns about $20,000 or so a year won't get a single dime.
The "rich" family that earns about $200,000 per year will save a boatload of money.
Are Pelosi and Hillary now taking care of people that own Toll Brothers houses? They suddenly want votes from Republicans. At the same time poor Democrats won't get anything out of this "cut."

Someone who earns $20K/year is already not paying anything and probably getting a rebate for being head of household). Raising the threshold on the AMT does not hit them in any tangible way.
A family making $200K in a place like NYC, D.C, or cities in California, are not rich, if they have 3 kids to put through college they are actually poor (since no financial aid available and not able to deduct education expenses). The threshold needs to be indexed to inflation, just like every Federal program that gives money to the poor. All the AMT does it takes away their Federal Tax deductions, meaning they can't deduct their mortgage interest any more. For some this puts them into a very bad financial positions

The AMT should be inflation and wage adjusted.
Living in California, both my wife and I earn over $140k/year, but that is only middle class in this state due to the expense of living here.
And I can think of many circumstances where hard working families earning that much or more are getting nailed with a tax that is supposed to keep the wealthy from avoiding taxation, but ends up hitting us middle class folks squarely in the jaw.
I know that $140k a year is 'rich' to ya' all Mississippi and Alabama folks, but then again, I could buy a Mcmansion down there for what I paid for a 3bd, 2ba 2,000 sq ft house in California.

Notions that the Dumocrats are somehow the party of the poor people are as antiquated as the Roman Empire= part of history.
The Democrates are those indoctrinates in Universities. Ever get a dirt poor Graduate in the Humanities?
Get real. Holly wierd is full of very rich leftist celebs.
So are the halls of Mainstrem academia, the media is full of $200,000 to $300,000 plus journalists, book authors, network exects, and don't even mention media mogols like George Soros and Ted Turner.
Poor and uneducated people? They are the ones duped into voting for the super rich lawyers like the Clintons, the $400
haircut set like John Edwards or Al Gore and his 40,000 cubic foot energy wasting home and private jets!
If the Dems help the rich, they will be helping themselves, so forget about the old stereotyped politics that were around when they invented Monopoly (the game) in the 1920's.

If something is not done about the AMT, more and more middle class families will fall under it. You are misrepresenting the facts, to say the least.

I think it is funny that the same people who constantly complain about Dems raising taxes on the wealthy now have a problem with this tax cut.
