LOL!! You sound so much like me! But I think you could probably get along fine by keeping 10 - 12 matching glasses in your cabinets, since you have three children. That allows for a few extra visitors or any breakages. All but 2 of my 10 "real" glasses that are not lead crystal have been dropped on my kitchen floor (tile) over the years. Because almost all of my good everyday glasses have been broken, I will not allow anyone in the house to use the crystal glasses I have in my china cabinet that I have collected over the years and that pattern is no longer made. You might want to wrap them up and put the remainder of the glasses in a box and store them in your attic, just in case you happen to need some replacements in years to come. Since so many of our "real" glasses have been broken, that why we now use plastic 12 ounce heavy-duty plastic glasses. When I counted them, I found out that I have 36 of the 12 oz. plastic glasses of the same color. However, I do know some ladies that don't have very much in the way of kitchen items, so I'm sure they will be glad to get some of our plastic glasses and other things we have never used. They won't have to spend any money to buy any glasses when I have so many that I can give away that are still in packages. I can certainly identify with you and I wish you the best in sorting through your clutter, too!! :)

LAW - If you haven't used it in two seasons - GET RID OF IT. Done ever stop to think about it because then you will keep it. I would keep a set of eight of dishes, cups and glasses. Dishes are cheap and you can always buy new ones if you have to. You know 34 is nuts, so start chucking. And enjoy it. I love throwing things away.

Lol. I feel your pain. Break them down into "sets". Keep 8 glasses out and pack the rest up and put them where you can get to them if you have company. As to the rest of the dishes. 6 of each dish--plate, bowl, cup, saucer, etc. should be enough. You don't need to get rid of them, just get them out of your way. You'll need to replace from your stored items as things break, get lost, borrowed or too worn.

Wow. 10-16 Glasses would be plenty. I'd ditch the rest at a yardsale or goodwill. My wife and I keep about 10 glasses on hand, and It's plenty. Just make sure to do the dishes nightly, and you'll be fine.

Yea that alot keep two for each then back up for company if you host x mas or such. Do you live in Southern Ca . My cabinets are bare. My best dishes are the large cups from Mc Donalds. My son when he was younger would break stuff.
