I think that Capital Punishment have been affected the society today because of the death of innocent people. I think there is a lack of investigation in crime and this violate the rights of those people. As the result many wrongfully convicted had died for this misinvestigation.

Badly and in several ways. First, as the number of worngfully convicted people on death row has increased, more and more Americans are disturbed about the possibility of executing innocent people. 124 people on death row were proved to be wrongfully convicted. In cases where so much was at stake (a life) critical mistakes were made. which calls the integrity of the criminal justice system into question. In many of these cases the actually perpetrator committed more crimes while an innocent person remained behind bars. Some of the things that led to wrongful convictions of people sentenced to death are: mistaken eyewitness identification, false (and coerced) confessions, missing evidence, errors in forensic investigations or out dated forensics.
Secondly, since the death penalty system costs much more than life in prison (mostly because of the legal process which is supposed to prevent the execution of innocent people), money that could be available for crime prevention (policing, education etc) and for victims' services isn't there.
Thirdly, it is embarrassing that on this issue the United States finds itself in the company of China, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia. Aside from Japan, which carries out executions much more rarely than the United States, the developed world does not practice capital punishment.

Very badly. I heard last week that, per capita, the USA has more prisoners than any other country in the world. Do you know what that does insofar as government money (ie YOUR tax dollars)?
We spend BILLIONS every year to feed, cloth, house and provide free medical care and education to murderers, rapists, thieves and such.
I say fire up that electric chair and get these trash-pile, money leaches out of our society.
