Jolie, I'd like to think I have both. I have about 4 really great friends that I can and do share anything and everything with. But also have many people in my live that are my acquaintances and am grateful to have them also. So I what I'm saying is that I'd like to continue having both. But if could only have one or the other would choose a few close friends. Why because close friends are ALWAYS there for each other.

Few close friends. Not sure how having a ton of acquaintences would make power.

A few close friends because if I was in need of something so bad that I had to resort to "there is power in numbers", no acquaintance would come to my aid.

There is this quote I love... Some people have a lot of friends and some people have only friends they like.
I would rather have a few close friends. I know I can trust them, they'll be there for me and you build a stronger relationship.
Having a lot of aquaintances seems shallow to me. And usually you can't depend on them, or they put themselves first since there is no "investment" in the relationship.

Out of those two, I'd choose a few close friends.
What good are tons of acquaintances that won't help me look for places to hide the body AND keep their mouths shut? :)Good friends are worth their weight in gold.

I would rather have a few close friends. The friends that I have are true friends. They are there for me when I need them and would do anything to help me out as I would do for them.

That's a good question. Close friends have a tendency to be more critical and be involved in your business. Acquaintances are not as dependable . I think it's best to try to strive for both, but don't expect to have several " best " friends. It gets too crowded and expectations are too high.

A bunch of acquaintances, few close friends are too clicky and gossipy and know all your personal business. I know cuz thats my situation right now. I'd rather have otherwise.

A few close friends. Too many other people around that I barely know would get on my damn nerves.
