what steps/procedures do i need to do to the laptop and pc to allow them both to connect to the internet at the same time?

use a router. conection go to router and both computers connect to router

My pc and laptop share... Get a router. Connect the router off the phone plug ("land line" or dsl line off the wall) and either feed dsl cable out the router or use wireless signal to the pc or laptop or both or either. I have mine, using a Linksys router, for example, cabled to a "desktop laptop" (an old IBM Thinkpad that doesn't have a wireless card) and communicating via wireless signal to my HP laptop.

Buy a linksys router, wired or wireless, pop the CD in and it will go through the steps of the setup. So easy. You may also need extra ethernet cables.

Get a wireless internet modem and a USB for the modem and then it has a disk with the USB and the modem to help you step by step
