Some of my favorites are real oldies. Harvey with Jimmy Stewart is about an invisible rabbit. Arsenic and old Lace is excellent. Two old maid sisters do away with lonesome old gentlemen over tea and their brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt buries them in the Panama Canal in the basement. Mel Brooks is a bit crude but always funny with Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein.

Assuming you mean lesser known movies. Kinda depends on what comedies you like. But when people ask me about a good comedy they may not of even heard about.. I always suggest "The Wrong Guy". This isn't a complex comedy mind you.. but a silly. But, I wouldn't call it over the top slap/stick or anything.

Anything with Mel Brooks. All classics and ridiculously funny. I would say History of the World and Young Frankenstein. Then Airplane!
