As an American, let me just say that Europe is f***** awesome. If I had the money, I'd move there right now (England, Italy, Spain, France, Amsterdam....). I don't think the bashing has so much to do with Europe as it does the fact that our game is being played on foreign soil. Some Americans have a problem with that.

Most of it is just to get a rise out of people, provoke a reaction.

The vast majority of people here have never been to Europe, and a fair percentage can't find it on a globe.

Nothing to be distressed about -- mostly "give and take."

A few people are crabby that they took an NFL game out of the US and put it in London.

They seem to think it costs jobs and money for the little guys who work stadium jobs -- not realizing that the stadiums always book other events like concerts and moto-cross to offset any potential revenue loss.

I'm not excusing anything, but some Americans are just fed up anymore with all the anti-americanism they see online and elsewhere, and maybe this is their way of reacting to it. Anyway, I personally think "the more the merrier," so I'm always glad to see people from far-away lands enjoying our sports.
