how bad is it?

It depends on how you handle it. Some people can't handle horror films and it messes them up only temporarily. Ex: obsessing over the movie, night mares, shakiness. If you don't really have these symptoms, it sounds like you can handle horror films pretty well.

The first horror movies I saw were Frankenstein, the Mummy, Dracula and The Wolf Man. The images were so impressive that I can recall them, now, some 45 years later.
I enjoyed being slightly scared. The only movie that really made me viscerally fearful was the first Alien movie.
No. It is not bad to watch these films as long as you don't internalize the concepts and only see them as fantasy and not reality.
C. :)!!

I don't think it's bad at all....
As long as you take them for what they are - entertainment.
People have always liked a good scare.
Generations before us used scary stories told around the campfire or in a dark room - the newer generation watches them on tv.
It can give you a thrill to get a scare while knowing you're perfectly safe.
It's important to make sure it's not the only thing you watch. But as long as you watch them for distraction and don't immerse yourself in them, there shouldn't be any harm.
Some of the more gruesome films are not meant for younger kids - they can be quite disturbing.
But other than that - watch what you like!
Just don't turn into a couch potato over it ;)

It's not bad for you to watch horror films if you have a strong heart.

But if you have a weak heart then it's not good especially if you have no companion watching it.

It wasn't so bad...

As long you think "this is just a film" then you will be okay.
Don't think too much about the movie because you will start fantasying about it.

Watching horror is a lot of fun, it'll make your mental goes strong.

It's great to watch horror movies with members of the opposite gender (or same gender if that's your thing) because then you can pretend to be scared and cuddle up under blankets and that's just a good time.

You aren't mentioning your age and that could make a difference. I love horror films but then again, I'm older.

Not bad at all... been watching them since I was a young child. My kids watch them too. It's just entertainment, nothing more.
