I have a desk with four foldable legs that I found. Its very old. It have copper end caps that have German Swastikas cut out in it. Trying to learn alittle more about it. Would like to know if anyone knows more about that time period furniture or know of a resource that would provide me some more details. Thank you!

Thanks for the answers guys. I believe it could be a real German desk. The swastika is on the same angle that the nazi's used it on. The indian swastika isn't portrayed on an angle. From the look of the table it seems to be extremely well made and has decorative copper accents all around the table and the bottom of the legs. I have no idea if it truely in a nazi desk but from the look of it, it does seem. Thanks for the help though. My parents no nothing about the desk. I found the desk in an old warehouse my parents use to own. A previous tentant left the desk along with some garbage.

find out about the origin of the table from your parents, they should know more about it than the internet. one thing for certain is that it was made during world war two by a pro-nazi furniture maker or perhaps one that was under nazi control. and the table would european, most likely german or nazi-controlled countries back in the war

Prior to it's use by the Nazis the swastika was a common decoration in many countries. If your table dates from before that era it could be from anywhere. If there are markings that indicate it dates from around 1933-1945 then it probably was German. The swastika wasn't used as a National symbol prior to that. Try checking some antique furniture sites, also look carefully at the underside for any markings indicating the manufacturer or country of origin.

Before you jump and shout - the Swastika was an ancient Hindu/Buddhist symbol still very much in use today and I am guessing you have an Indian table there perhaps 90 years old.
If it IS a Nazi table it would be very collectable and sellable too.
If its very old it certainly wouldnt be from the Third Reich.
