Absolutely!! Your video card is perpendicular to your mother board (if a desktop). You can change this by removing the crews that hold it in place at the back of the case. If you have a laptop, you might need a professional to help.

OK, just to be clear, is it asking for a new driver (software) or a new card (hardware)? Both are easy enough to do, just one is a software update, the other requires a hardware update.

If it is a video driver update, then you can generally get this either from a Microsoft Windows Update or by going directly to the video card manufacturer's website and locating the latest driver for download. Installation instructions will be available on the site, but generally it is just a setup file you run and it will walk you through everything.

If it is a video card update, you can do this as well, but you will need to do a little research first. The connections for video cards are different (AGP, PCI-Express, and more rarely PCI). If you list your system info (vendor & model number), we can help you with that or you can check the vendor website to find out which it is. After you get that information, finding a video card can be a bit confusing but not impossible to figure out. What you'll want to do is look at the SecondLife recommended video card information (somewhere on their site) and try to locate a card that meets those requirements and stays within your budgets.

Never heard of second life, heard of Half life/ Half life 2 etc. Anyway probably ur graphics card does not meet the requirement to play the game. Upgrading the driver might not help u to play the game. It is a risky business to upgrade the drivers. Installing a different driver may render the whole motherboard useless if the graphics card is a onboard one.

If you only need to upgrade your video card's drivers you can easily do this your self. You will need to know your cards manufacturer and the cards name. Next you will need to just google for the updated drivers, or visit the manufacturer's web site.

of course you can. just need to know what type of slot does your pc support. there is a agp pci and pcie. just go to any retail computer store or online look for the graphic card that interest you and look around the box to see if the type of slot is supported.

All you need to do is open the cover. take screws off if you need to, if you all ready have a video card, just pull it out and insert a newer one. its easy, even a little kid can do this.
