The Yankees have won 39 pennants, which means they've been in the World Series 39 times, and they've won 26 of those times.
The Red Sox have won 12 pennants, but they've only been in the World Series 11 times, because the World Series was cancelled one of the years they won. They've won the World Series 6 times and could possibly make it 7 this year.

I don't know what you are saying but the Yankees have more division titles, world series titles, more HOFer's, more winning seasons, pretty much everything more than the Red Sox. The only thing the Red Sox did that Yankees never have done(in my lifetime that is) is to be 1 strike away from winning World Series &then losing. The Yankees are the pinacle of greatness. They are historically so good that they would let the winningest coach in playoff history go for not getting the big win in recent years. The expect the best due to past performance. They are the best. I would like to see how well they would do if there were a true cap in MLB though. That would make things very very interesting.
