I think it is a possibility for both teams. The Lions are overachieving right now and the Bears are underachieving. This weekends game should be a big indicator in how the rest of the season will go with both teams. Griese has proven he can move the ball having three 300 yard games in row. The defense has to get back to what they do best and the Bears should make the playoffs. Detroit got beaten so badly by the Eagles I think it shows their true colors. If the Lions can win 5 of their remaining games I think they will find a wild card spot. Looks like the NFC north is not the "joke" of the NFL after all. Thanks NFC south!

No, both of these teams will not make the playoffs. The Green Bay Packers will win the NFC North because of Brett Favre and a surprisingly solid defense. I believe the Minnesota Vikings will come in second in the NFC North because they have a solid defense and the running game is starting to look impressive. The Bears have too many issues at key positions like quarterback and the defense has lost a couple steps compared to last year. They still have a solid defense, but they didn't add any offensive firepower and now they are counting on Griese. The Lions have an offensive genius mind with Mike Martz, but they still can't get all the wheels rolling. The defense is allowing too many points and the offense isn't showing up. I'll take the Packers to win the division and the Vikings will get a wild card.

Lions--maybe
Bears-- NO

The Lions are currently 4-2 and tied with the Redskins for the 6 seed in the NFC. They play a tough schedule from here on out including 2 games against Green Bay, San Diego, Dallas, Denver and the Giants. If they can manage to go 3-3 in those games, I think they make the playoffs. What is going to really hurt them is that they lost to the Redskins, so they need to beat the Giants and at worst they need to split their games against GB.

The Bears are just too far out. Their next game against Oakland is very winnable and they should win their final game against New Orleans. Only problem is that every game in between is going to be a battle. If they can't find a suitable QB they could be looking at a 5-11 season.

That is easy-Bears. The Lions are about to go 2-8 the rest of the way. Maybe 1-9. They won't beat the Bears.

Oh by the way, I'm a Detroit Kittens (Lions) fan. The only reason they beat Tampa Bay is because the Buc's played worse.

id say both have a shot, but the bears need some offense, and the lions need to pick it up on defense
