It probably affects their breathing, but they don't look like they are in great shape to begin with, so they probably don't realize it.
I've heard that many Olympic athletes plan to get there a day or two before their events and leave as soon as they are done. They are VERY concerned about how it will affect their breathing.

it dosent effect it much because chinas comunist party wants to maintane economic groth so they dont put in place many regulashions regarding the enviroment.

it could cause death and if lucky minor lung cancer they don't take much care of world :(
