First of all, the job is court STENOGRAPHER. Whether it is in demand will vary significantly by where you are. It is a tedious job and can be stressful with fast turn around times for the documents.

It requires a basic knowledge of English, and then a further knowledge of legalese. Attention to details is required.

It's in demand if you can spell. It's stenographer.
