I was married for 20 years, got divorced and 8 months later am engaged again. Do you think it is to soon?

If you are asking this question then probably it is. if you were SO sure that this is what you want then there will be no reason to ask this because this is what you know is right. right?! think about it. GOOD LUCK with your decision just don't throw away another 20 yrs unhappy

Personally I think it is too soon.
A divorced person should give themselves one year to two to get over the previous relationship. And reflect on the mistakes that took place which brought the marriage down. Otherwise you might find yourself trapped again into a relationship you did not want.

The only people that could think it was too soon... and matter... would be the 2 of you. If you want to get married again and to this person, I say best of luck and congrats!

I know some people that have gotten married sooner than that after a divorce and their 2nd marriages worked out just fine.

I married my rebound...it did last 10 years...wasn't a happy 10 years...but it was 10 years.

YES !!!!!!!!......ask yourself how does 20yrs go away in 8 months.......your not being fair to yourself.....and especially not to your future mate there..................give yourself time to heal and get beyond it..........or you will regret getting in so fast......cause i will tell you the second one.....will not be nothing like the first.....but the little things will always remind you of it...........and what bought it to an end....may very well cause the same to the second one..........think about it........
