The only degree I can think of that's a distance is a degree of latitude on earth, which is 60 nautical miles. If that's what you mean, you can do the conversions.

The only explanation I can think of is that you're asking for the arc length of 55 degrees of a circle, in which case it would be 0.9599 times the radius of the circle in inches.
