Okay i know the "Gardasil" shot prevents cervical cancer, but is it true that it also prevents you from getting STD's? if it does can some1 explain to me how?

Gardasil is a vaccine against the HPV or Human Papillomavirus. The Gardasil vaccine protects recipients against 4 types of HPV, including the two types that cause most cervical cancers and the two types that cause the most genital warts.

It MAY prevent four types of cervical cancer it says it prevents, it is not certain (it says so in the commercial).

It doesn't prevent against STD's.

no it helps you prevent hpv and so cervical cancer but no there is in fact no vaccine for std´s take care of yourself.

IT doesn't guard against all STDs it helps to guard against HPV ( 4 forms of it) HPV is a STD so yes it guards against that but not other STDs.
