Try posting in Diet & Fitness or Pregnancy, instead of Marriage & Divorce.

The best thing to do is ask one's doctor what the best foods are but I would imagine a traditional healthy diet of lean meats, fruits and veggies, healthy fats, and complex carbs wouldn't be far off the mark (you know, the way we should all eat to be healthy) ☺

I think more importantly you should consider the things you need to stay away from during pregnancy. This means NO Alcohol, No cigarettes and NO illegal drugs. If you must take over the counter drugs ALWAYS consult your doctor. If you dont have a doctor just call one, more than likely they will be more than willing to answer your question. Some say don't eat Tuna at all, but most say to make sure you limit your tuna consumption. Meaning perhaps once a week. It's isnt necessary, but if you can find a way to cut back on your sodium intake this will cut down on swelling in the face, fingers, legs and feet due to water retention. You will also like the scale A LOT more due to this little trick. Most importantly make sure you eat small little snacks throughout the day. I never really have a 3 meal schedule during pregnancy. It's much easier to snack throughout the day then try to hold out for one meal at a certain time. Oh,one more thing, not sure if you are having any morning sickness, but if so try keeping some crakers and water by the bedside. When you wake up sit up and eat a couple of crackers with your water. This worked like a charm for me during my pregnancies. Hope this helps. Take Care

salads, protein. Stay away from too much sugar, you can end up with gestational diabetes like I did and deliver a preemie baby like I did! Early in pregnancy, you should not gain more than a couple of pounds. You dont literally have to eat for "two" just add about 300 calories to your diet. Good luck

Stick to a s normal diet (whole grains, dairy, meats/protiens, fruits and veggies) and add prenatal vitamins.

And stay away from things that make her want to throw up. Good luck!

In the beginning, if you are not going through you morning sicknesses and can simply eat, I think whatever you can intake and hold in your system...I ate whatever my body allowed me to eat without getting sick....

What you crave. Humans have evolved to seek out foods and herbs the body needs, so listen to that little voice.
