I'm not going to answer this directly, 'cause I'd end up getting kicked off of Yahoo Answers for being exceedingly rude. Instead, I'll use Roger Waters' (the composer's) thoughts on the song;

"People were really driven to frenzies of rage by it. They thought that when I said "We don't need no education," that it was a kind of crass, revolutionary standpoint - which if you listen to it in context it clearly isn't at all.
On the other hand, it got some strange reactions from people that you wouldn't expect. The Archbishop of Canterbury went on record saying that if it's very popular with schoolkids, then it must in some way be expressing some feelings that they have themselves. If one doesn't like it, or however one feels about it, one should take the opportunity of using it as a starting point for discussion - which was exactly how I felt about it. I'm sure lots of people in schools took the opportunity of saying, "Right, you've all heard the record; what do you think it's about ?"'

The fact is, Another Brick in the Wall Part II is not meant to protest education in the least. If you listen to Roger Waters' thoughts on the issue, he's all for education. Just listen to his later album Amused to Death. Another Brick in the Wall Part II is used to convey the story Pink, the protagonist of The Wall, and his rebelious thoughts throughout his childhood. It's very personal, not at all revolutionary. Of course, those idiots that need the education in the first place can't be bothered to think this through, now can they?

Education is vital to the well-being of society.

Pink Floyd was wrong. Scroll through some of the questions on this site to find out the results of lack of education. It is very very scary. Kudos to them though for coming up with a perfect kids against the adult world anthem.
