No, its not exactly possible. The other person needs to be served and given time to contest the divorce. The only way that the other person wouldn't know is if they couldn't be found and served. Even then all attempts to locate them must be exhausted.

Up to a point the other person might not know till the lawyer submits the file of divorce. But to get divorced and not be aware, that is not possible. The divorce involves division of belongings and lots of signatures.

I'm 14 and I think its stupid too. Everyone drinks at my school. You always hear about some girl puking at a party cause she was so wasted. I dont want to drink because alcohol hasnt been a positive influence on my life at all. Theres these girls at my school that are gross drug addicts. Everyone knows it but theyre kinda considered losers cause they come to school high and dont shower. This kid I met through a friend is actually very nice. He smokes weed but he's a different person. In person he's really nice and really deep and likes to smile. Drugs *** you over.

yes, that is totally BS! there is no way the other person will not know about the divorce. Because the individual have to be inform and appear in court to sign off on the papers.

The other party has a right to know a divorce has been filed so that they can have their say in court as well.

the only way to get divorced without the other knowing is if they are an "absent spouse" meaning you can not find them anywhere to sign the paperwork. Divorcing without hating each other? that happens in like 1 in 100,000 divorces, so good luck!

You can file for divorce and the other person won't know until they are served the paperwork. Don't think there is a way to keep it secret until it is final....

?? well don't just waste space to get points. You will get your points over time.
The best way is mediation - that way the people involved don't have to argue with each other and you don't have to pay two attny's outrageous fees to come to a settlement.
The best one I know is Dynamic Mediation 508-823-0675 and they can do mediation via phone and email and are very fair and fast. So if this is for you - give them a call to see if they can help.

You can file for divorce but the other party is notified, just like if you wanted to terminate any legally binding partnership.

there is no way to have it done without the other person knowing. they have to sign the papers in order for it to be final. the only way to part and still be civil is to try. some people can and some can't.
