yes and they also found the military barracks shaped like a swastika on googe earth. that is why the US has to find a solution to change the barracks

Google Earth is behind real time by 2/3 years. Israel have state of the the art American spy-ware, and can pinpoint sites by as small as a metre squared. They probably did reconnaissance flights to check out the response.

Google earth shows images that can be up to 20 years old.
It is not real time satelite images.
The house im living is, is a forest on google earth.

I would think that militaries operate with the kind of information that is only available to them, i.e. much more sophisticated than generally available satellite imagery.
Most likely they used their own satellite (they have their own) and intelligence reports.

They didn't attack Syria.. They just buzzed around in their planes above the Syrian lands.. Either that, or I live in the stoneage still..
