Whether ouija boards really can be used to contact spirits or not is debatable. However there have been psychological researches into the subject.
Psychologists have found that the subconscious mind makes the person/people move the glass or whatever you're using. The people participating have willpower and want something to happen which causes the subsonscious mind to make your hand move the object to the letters. The person doesn't realise this and thinks a spirit or ghost is moving the glass.
After the experience the subconscious mind draws together all bad experiences and links them to the ouija board as this is usually in the participants mind quite a while after they did it. Therefore this makes the person think that bad things are happening to them when really it isn't.
This is just something i've unconvered during some reading.
I'm not saying it's true and that the paranormal doesn't exist but its certainly something to consider if wondering how the ouija board works.

Using a Ouija board is like showing the local hobo the inside your house and displaying the place where you hide your keys. Just follow that train of thought and you will see why an evil spirit might want to linger for awhile.

Parker Brothers did not invent the Ouija Board. It had already been around for awhile when it was bought by Parker Brothers in 1966 and turned into a commercial success as a board game. Its beginnings lie in the distant past when an earlier version (a tripod device) was used in the ancient ways of Babylon and Greece to contact departed spirits. The tripod became the pointer now used with the Board, which is printed with the alphabet, the numbers 1-9, a 0 (zero), and the words 'Goodbye', 'Yes', and 'No'. There are other boards like this with different names, but with the same history and purpose. The modern version of this game was developed by a man named Planchette, a spiritualist (someone who contacts the dead as part of their religion). The Board was further transformed around the turn of the century under the direction and ownership of two men, Elijah J. Bond and William Fuld. Fuld’s name can be seen on the Ouija Board today. The name Ouija is a combination of the French and German words for 'yes': Oui and Ja. According to Bond and Fuld, the Board suggested its own name. The primary purpose of the board is and always has been to contact disembodied spirits. Contacting the dead is called necromancy, and contacting spirits is spiritism, both strongly condemned by God (Deut. 18:9-12; Lev. 19:31, 20:6; I Sam 28, II Kings 21:6; Is. 8:19, 19:3-4). The Board’s translated name, 'yes, yes', is an ingenious and subtle way to invite spirit contact. Dead people cannot hang around after death; you cannot communicate with a dead person. The practices and techniques of contacting the dead and contacting spirits are used widely in the occult. Although the pointer is often moved intentionally or subconsciously by the players, you are putting yourself in a vulnerable position when using the Board. By 'playing' this 'game', you are showing an interest in spirit contact. If contact is made, it is demons (evil spirits, fallen angels), not the dead, who are responding. If Satan can disguise himself as "an angel of light" (2 Cor. 11:14), then it is not improbable that fallen angels can disguise themselves as the dead. The Ouija Board is not harmless just because it is marketed as a game. Satan, the master of deception and seduction, is good at twisting the truth into lies (Gen. 3:1-6; Jn. 8:44). Satan likes disguises and his lies are often disguised as games. The next time you are tempted to play the Ouija Board as a game, look beyond its disguise and see it for what it really is. Think about this: Just what or who are you trying to contact? God tells us to seek Him instead of the dead (Is. 8:19), and Christ "lives forever to plead with God" on behalf of those who believe Him (Heb. 7:25b). Who wants the Ouija Board when you can know the One Who has "complete authority in heaven and on earth!" (Matt.28:18). If you are wondering about Christ, think on His words in John 5:23b-24, "He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father , who sent him. I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."

Hi..... the Ouija board is used to comunicate with the spirit world as you know. However, there are good and bad spirits. entities if you wish to call them that.
Ouija boards have been used by many to contact the spirit world and not all bring bad entities. However, those that do bring bad experiences to all involved.
Its a dangerous "game" because you do not know what or whom you are talking to. If you realy want to try a ouija board then contact a local pyshic group where they are used to useing them ..
The boards are seen as many as fake andnot real... but eh do you want to take the risjk that there is something there.
Personally I would not use one or get involved with one. I know of people who have and it has had a depremental effect on them.
For example... A chemistry teacher I knew in England.. told us wilst at Uni a group of friends and herself used a board. and asked when they would die.... The entity or friend what ever.... showed one would die that year another 5 years ... one in 7 and my teacher in 38 years..... Wierd coincidence is that the one girl did die that year ... the other died in the last month of the5year the other died in the 7 year.We were skeptical as high school kids until she brough in newspaper clippings... showing the deaths...... Her name was in the obituary as a friend... so we know she knew them .. strange story I know...
So be careful if you do use it they are not a toy ////

Its retarded and the only magic is produced by the fear you have. It is a piece of wood not a tool.
Please show me the poor suckers who conjured evil and where devoured by it. Are we still in midevil time; I hear witches float.
"it is a tool", I guess that it true. If you use it to put a cereal bowl on while sitting at the sofa or burn it in the fire place for heat, or smack an intruder with it.
You are a tool if you think its more than wood.
Say red rum in the dark in your bathroom. People say they see the devil....no tool just fear producing what they expect to see.

my advice is don't mess with it honestly. i used it alot when was a teenager and it generates alot of negativity in your life. whether it actually opens doors to bad spirits or its a negative aspect of your sub consious i dont know. i used to get this guy called 'bud' all the time and he predicted a fire at my home and my nana would die but not in the fire. about 3 months later the chimney set on fire which could have been alot worse than it was, and my nana had a stroke but didn't die...so i wouldnt advise it seriously.

the thing is, the game dosen't mean anything, but it allows you and your freinds and enviorment to mentally bring in all these thoughts of mystacisam or evil.... all it takes is one person to cause everyone else to freak out...
Kind of when you sit at a firesplace in the dark telling a haunted story..... then WHAM!! everyone jumps! lol

First, people are stupied. If you conjour evil, you get evil, if you conjour good, you get good.
So if you use some type of spirtual device to bring evil, then you deserve to be devoured by the evil that came forth.
Ouija board is a tool. Like any tool, if you use it wrong, your going to get negitive results.
