Depends on what my age was at the time!
At 5 I went for the balloons, cake and the goody bags.
At 10 I went for the activities, junk food and socializing.
At 15 I went for the free beer I couldn't get otherwise.
At 20 I was a starving student and went for the free beer, the free food, and the sex.
At 30 I was back to the sociallizing...that's just how it goes! I can afford all my own stuff now and have my hottie hubby for regular sex.

I go to parties for the social atmostphare, just to loosen up meet up with friends and hang out. Good food and booze are a solid plus though ^_^ but the social life is better!

Actually I go b/c I like to dance. The food and drinks ara a plus.

Sometimes, but I have to at least be able to stand the other people there! I also go out to dinner with my boyfriend's family for free food...i just graduated college and I'm poor-can you blame me?

no. i hate to eat and drink at parties. only water or alcohol (just a little)
i go there for the atmosphere and music and dancing with friends. maybe hooking up witha hot guy LOLs jkjk

Only friends which is rare because they work too.
Other than that I'd be weary of "free" anything...usually there's a catch like a police raid or something.

well unfortunately.. I have friends that have kids and it seems like im always at somebody's function.. But I have to admit last weekend I laid low on my boys daughter birthday cause he has like 4 kids.. and they are always having something and if its not a birthday its a holiday bash.. I guess im a sour grape.. cause when I get home I just like to chill in my own domain.. you smell me?

I usually go to socialize and shake a leg. Booze just makes everything easier and more fun.
