And no, I'd have to say it most likely doesn't belong in pregnancy. I can't be totally sure though...

It's just a morning greeting. More like etiquette than an attempt to communicate a specific message ;)

of course you want to tell ourself good morning so that our day will be good. If you told yourself good morning but your morning is not good it means your telling yourself to have a good morning not bad.
