my best friend keeps hitting on the girls he knows i like. I told him i like these girls but he keeps doing it wenever he gets the chance. he has a girlfriend to. i dont want to just get rid of him cause we are child hood friends.

Don't let him know who you like. I know it is a shame but some friends can be mean. But that could be his personality. So you can deal with and find cleaver ways to work around him or lose him as a best friend and put him on the back burner as an associate.

Try not telling him who you are interested in and if that doesn't work then it may be time to get more adult friends. Some people just never grow up.
