check the fluid.
and kick down cable
see if the vacuum line is attached on both ends.
while you are down there pull the line off the modulator valve.
if any trans fluid is visible in the line or dripping from the valve the valve is bad

Could be an internal trans problem with pressure or needs the fluid topped off or changed but I'd agree with Bad Seed...probably a bad vacuum modulator or cracked/broken vacuum line or hose.
Looks something like this on the right side of the trans usually...

Get a shop manual for the car like Chilton or Haynes to show you how to replace it....parts stores carry them.

could be low on fluid,if it has a cable,it could have broke or come loose,could be the modulator valve,clogged filteror valve body.

Filter dirty??? clean it and new oil, sometimes bans need to be tighten too have shop to it!! like ammco.. good work!!!
