Good question!

Neither, what i fear most is the hour that goes with the sand and the glass that holds.

Thanks for your question> Have a great day!

Let's face it. It's the downward movement of the sand that is feared, not the glass. What has glass got to do with time in your question? And if you're philosophical, why say time runs backwards and include the superficial glass to be feared?

It's like you're comparing a dough nut with its hole.

The term "hourglass" is a misnomer.

Please don't frame pseudo cryptic philosophical questions again that are open to logical fallacies. It doesn't matter whether you'd be subjective in choosing the best answer. The most important thing is I KNOW I TELL THE TRUTH AND AM SEEN BY THE MOST CRITICAL ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Just being objective, not personal. Cheers!

The glass because if it is running backwards it will probably fall down and break or run into something and break. But I don't really fear it.
You always have to watch where you are going.
The sand will just fall to the ground and you can always pick it back up and start over with a new hourglass.

i don't fear the sand or the glass whether the hourglass runs backwards or onwards... i could fear myself when just stands and watches one of both processes, not being the sand or the glass or the hourglass itself..

Neither.....it's gravity that's in trouble. Obviously something would be something terribly wrong with the principles that govern this world if the hour glass runs backwards....unless of course you've turned the hour glass end for end. In that case, what's to fear? Put the hour glass right side up again, and all is well. But then you've got to ask yourself: How much time have I gained?

No, it's that Wicked Witch of the West that tipped the hourglass over and told me when the sand runs out I'm finished - and my dog too!

When the hourglass runs backwards then it's time to stop drinking...

You mean like when the countdown begins?
Neither. That's the time to put all your fears aside and let the courage take charge...Do not crouch but stand tall to face the future. You never know what pleasant surprises are awaiting round the corner...Hope. Let hope allied with pluck fight your fears...

Only if I've been shrunken by a raygun to the size of an ant and put inside the hourglass.
