i am neither a rockies fan or a red sox fan i am a white sox fan and a baseball junkie but i say clint hurdle is the better manager becasue he has taken a young team and made them believe that anything is possible i mean the rockies total team salary is around $30 or $40 million thats what manny rameriez or david ortiz makes in a year!

Francona is the only manager to coach his to team to winning a series after being down 3-0. then they went on and won it all as they will do again this year. i had all but written them off against the indians and then they won 3 in a row. then game one blasted the rockies. He had his team ready to play. meanwhile the rockies who had 8 days to rest and no excuse for fatique if Hurdle was a manager he would have had the rockies at the park instead of taking in the sites in boston. Go francona.

Since Francona holds the MLB record for managing the highest team payroll to not make the playoffs (2006 - 143 million), I'd have to say Hurdle is better.
