I'm not sure what kind of wall you are talking about. A firewall is a term used to describe a wall that separates one part of a building from another part of the same building to slow the spread of fire. For instance you may want to separate your garage from the rest of your house. The wall would have to provide a continuous barrier from the foundation all the way up to the roof line. Building codes do not require these types of wall in most single family residential homes.

In the US, firewall consists of using 5/8" drywall and a 20 minute rated fire door for residences. Common for attached garages to have a firewall.

For the most part two pieces of 5/8 sheetrock, separating the levels in ur house. most commercial places have to use this method

When we built our house we had to fireblock walls over a certain height (may have been 10').
