My inlaws have always loved Maytag but over the past 10 years or so, Maytag's quality seems to have gone down. We got a Fisher & Paykel in March and love it so far. I own a cleaning service so I wash towels every day then my regular laundry on top of that. We had never heard of them but while shopping in Lowes we say the washer/dryer set and starting doing research and were pleased at what we read plus they aren't as expensive as all of those new fancy W&D sets.
We have the Ecosmart Washer and the Traditional Front Load Gas Dryer.

only lately are manufacturers becoming aware that washing machines with central agitators are imposing unnecessary stress on our garments (unless you wash all clothes on the gentle cycle). there are now a number of products available without central agitators allowing your garments a prolonged level of longevity (especially bath towels which tended to wrap around the agitator).
