really quite hard, but if your heart is in it you won't mind. If you're seriously considering a medical career, it's advisable to get some work experience perhaps in a hospital or something medical related so that you know you're making the right decision for your future.

That's a pretty general question - but basically, the answer is..."as hard as you want to." There is a base amount of required coursework and experience everyone is required to do, but beyond that, it depends on you. For example, what specialty are you interested in... if it's surgery, then your training is going to be a lot more demanding than if you wanted pursue something like general practice.

Two particular skills come to mind: Loving to memorize lists of things (nerves in the face, the names of arteries and veins) as well as a desire to work hard in general. There is satisfaction in knowing that you are helping people, even if your pay tends to be less than an ordinary lawyer. Good luck!

It takes time, preseverance, and a signficant amount of your life to become a physician. I have young patients who ask me how long it took for me to become an orthopaedic surgeon. I answer when I finished the 25th grade! Their eyes become very wide. However not to deter you...It is one of the most rewarding fields one can enter...because of personal satisfaction of knowing you have the skills to make a real difference in lives of people.

As hard as u need 2 if u really want it. what your passion is shuldnt be weighed up in how much effort is expected to put in. To be what u want takes every thing you have got.

Very, very hard. I think my dad failed three times on an exam before officially becoming a general surgeon.

remember.....of a class of 200 doctors to graduate, they call the one who got the highest grades, "Doctor!".... they also call the one who barely passed DR. , too....
