Sure. My Stepdaughter was gay for about 7 years when she gave up that lifestyle.
Anne Hetche was engaged to Ellen before she dumped her and married a guy.
It happens frequently. Whom you have sex with is your choice, not something set in stone by your birth.

A bisexual person appears to be "gay and straight" since they are attracted to both genders. Opinion is divided as to whether bisexuality is a mixture (like dual nationality) of homosexuality and heterosexuality or whether its a totally separate orientation.

Sexuality is on a spectrum over our lifetime. Sexual preference can change as we mature. So yes at some point in ones life one may identify as straight, at another time as gay, or some may even decide they like both therefore identifying as bi.

There are bi-sexual individuals. I know a few people with genuinely no preference. I'm not sure whether that doubles your pleasure or doubles your confusion. Some of us who are more definately one way or the other occasionally "slip up." (Boy was I drunk last night.) I don't think human sexuality (or anything human) is so simple as to be one thing and never another. Our minds and spirits are as complicated as our bodies.

Here we go again sticking labels on people. You are what you are. I have 4 kids and love my wife and we have been married for 50 years but I was having regular homosexual sex when I was 13 which went on for 5 years. What am I? I'm me what else

John comes up with the usual narrow-minded answer - see above.
You can be bi, and it doesn't mean you're gay but just aren't honest with yourself. It means you're bi.
Suppose I said we're all heterosexual and gays are just liars. How would that sound? I drink both tea AND coffee - does this mean I'm kidding myself about liking tea and should commit to coffee alone?

No.
One can be bisexual, which is an attraction to both genders. Straight implies "attracted to opposite gender ONLY" . Gay implies "attracted to same gender ONLY" - thus one cannot be both.
