Absolutely not.

Boost Mobile prepaid phones use Nextel's "iDen" network. That's why they have that awesome walkie-talkie function. Nextel/Boost mobile phones use a SIM card.

Sprint post-paid service (AND Virgin Mobile prepaid phones) use Sprint's "CDMA" network. CDMA phones do not use, or even have a place to install a SIM cad.

That's the same for carriers like Alltel and Verizon. The technology just doesn't need a SIM card.

SIM cards are a holdover from a previous generation of technology. In the next couple of years, you may see them start to fall out of use. I know Nextel, for one, has a plan to migrate off of the network that uses the SIM.

I was sent a nextel blackberry cell phone from USA and it does not accept my sim card here in Cameroon.I really like the phone what should I do?
