Hi,
We have an (almost) 7 month old baby girl who is doing fine, sleeping well, feeding well, started eating hips stage 1 and some home made fruit and veg puree's & some baby rice cake thingies but yesterday her eyes roled back twice then again once so far today - is this normal at this age or something we should be worried about?

My girlfriend is calling the health visitor as I'm at work but thought I'd check on here to see what your experiances are as it was hard to find anything on the interent apart from rolling stones albums!

Thanks for any help,
steve.

'does she seem to be "out of it" for a few moments?'

Yes - thats how my girlfriend described it - she doesn't cry or anything though and a few seconds later carries on as normal. Just waiting for her to get back to me on what the health visitor has to say.

I dont want to scare you but that sounds like something neurological going on . Please have it checked out . when you have any questions about your child you should check with your daughters pediatrician . good luck and I will pray for your child.

I know that is scary to see. When your baby's eyes go back does she seem to be "out of it" for a few moments?

I had this happen to my daughter when she was about 10 months old. It happened several times a day. I took her to her pediatrician, and the concern was petti mall seizures. They made an appointment with a nuerologist who ordered an EKG. This is where they hook electrodes up to watch the brain activity. Thankfully her EKG was normal, and we were told to observer her for several weeks. After those 2 weeks of her eyes rolling back it never happened again.

But if I were you and you see a pattern, don't delay, call your peds doctor, or the nurse and describe what is going on. Let them be the judge on if it should be a concern.

Good luck, and I'll say a short prayer for your daughters health.
