Just for rent

2007-10-25 00:55:54 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

I think most people use it for rent. The only people who use checks anymore on a regular basis seem to be the older people, since they aren't as used to credit cards as this generation is.

Understandable. One day people will have bar codes on their neck and us old people will be using our credit cards, and they'll either be intolerant to us for holding up the line a couple seconds or understand us as well I understand the older people in this society.

Rarely, but it is good to have them if you need them. I went shopping the other day and the store had a brief black out so when I got to the register my card didn't work. I was concerned that someone got a hold of my account info but when I went to the bank the next day everything was fine! Thank God!!!

I only see checks written in the "7-item or less" express checkout line at the grocery store, by someone with 22 items. To make matters worse, their checkbook typically suffers from Agoraphobia (fear of open places), thus, it is hard locate.

I wrote a total of 6 last year. 3 so far this year. They are disappearing fast. Like cash. Hardly use that anymore either.

I do
Does anyone use cash anymore? - It drives me nuts when someone in front of me uses a debit card to pay for a 50 cent candy bar.

no, I made my bank give me a debit card with a creditcard logo and I have one atm card w/o a logo. That way I can use my card at the tiendas here (in PR) and my other card for internet use.

a lot of places will not accept them any more as they have less security... a lot of them will bounce and people know this so they can get their goods in the knowledge the cheque will not go through.
