Hi Jon, That wonderful Tantric teaching game, it must be the antithesis of 'Monopoly', the game that teaches children to grab everything they can, even if it means going to jail once in a while. Snakes and ladders. on the other hand teaches how life can appear to random and senseless, even when the underlying lessons of having the patience and acceptance to keep going round and round and doing it all again do, eventually, lead to the ultimate goal of samadhi, eternal bliss. This last year has been spent, by me at least, wandering around in the snake pit, with no ladder in sight. So I have had to deal with this in two different ways, firstly by developing 'immunity' to snake bite, and secondly by constructing my own, portable, ladder ! ;-))) It reminds me of that wonderful Punch cartoon of many years ago, two vultures sitting on lone tree in the middle of some desert, and one says to the other "Confusticate your patience, I'm going to kill something !" (Actually they didn't use confusticate, but it works just fine )

Yes, I have played the games under their commercial names, Chutes and Ladders and Parchisi, with my nieces and nephews. They enjoy the human interaction.
