Well Soup. Having spent 22 years in the Marines, When my fellow Marines and Warriors go into harms way, there is no way to feel "good" about it, or myself. I do have an immense pride knowing that we are the best in the world and that we will project the necessary military power to establish America's goals. That is their job, to provide America and Americans with the necessary power to project our "will" on another country, whether we agree with the policy or not. Policy decisions are to protect Americans interest, it's not about what is fair. That is how we maintain our way of life, and provide for our own people.

Ask an elderly Jew or Frenchman.
The French would be speaking German were it not for Am military power.
The Imperial designs are only for enough land to bury the Am. military dead.
Ask a So. Korean
Ask a Muslim from Kosovo,

Then there was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break one of the French engineers came back into the room saying "Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intend to do, bomb them?"
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck.. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?"

Nope
You can take that back to Code Pink and tell them.

Freeing up people so they can vote.
Giving women a chance to go to school
Help rebuild a country from the ground up that was run into the dirt by a dictator.
There are countless stories of our military taking care of people on their own.

Yep run down the US military and remember this when your back is against the wall who do you want to see coming to your rescue? Someone from Code Pink or US military?

How can anyone feel good about sending someone else to do what they themselves are to afraid to do?
I served my time doing what I was told without question until the 14th one went down in my scope. Reality hits. Reality hurts.
To "spend" life for the thoughts of one man's ideals has been the bane of human existence. Why should anyone feel good about death? Is it not enough that we really do only have a short time on this earth without the need to destroy one another?

Yes, imagine being Bush, alighting from his helicopter. Imagine mobilizing hundreds of thousands of men, sending bombers and ships and tanks and hummers to conquer a foreign land you've never been to. This must be why some people idealize Bush. They think of power and the glory commanding such a vast force, of winning the war. That may be why they insist the liberal media never shows the "good things" we're doing in Iraq.

Yes, because American Military Power has been used for good. To remove dictators and criminals, to stop genocide and to right wrongs. Why not feel good about doing what's right?

There has continuously been corruption & greed in our united states and others. that is going to never stop. I do have confidence in our governing device as an entire (among that is many imperfections). No scandels and misdeeds among inner maximum indiviuals or firms can get rid of from our county's capability, satisfaction and honor that it holds for itself or that is extraordinary militia. P.S. thank you, John B. you're what makes me proud.

We haven't flexed our true muscle yet. I'm disappointed we didn't level the ME with nukes on 9-11. 4 trillion dollars on weapons we don't use, what a waste of my paying taxes for 30 yrs. We could have hit the oilfields with neutron bombs and just flat destroyed muslim civilization which would excise that cancer from the planet. I'm depressed by our cowardice to use our true force.

It depends. When Clinton sent our boys into Kosovo, liberals cheered and said it was good to use our armed forces to prevent genocide.

When Bush did the same for the same reason, liberals were against it.

So I guess it depends on who the warmonger is.

No doubt, libs will cheer the troops that Hillary will send into Iran. As that will be a just war in their simple minds.
