Kate McCann thinks Madeleine is being held somewhere in someone's house - why no plea to the abductor?
Was this interview just more spin to draw attention away from the fact that the PJ inspectors are ready to touch down in the UK.
Why on earth would you go to the trouble of telling the world how hard it is for you being without your daughter, yet NOT ask the person who has her to GIVE HER BACK?
Don't you think this is a wasted opportunity??

They've already made several pleas?
As a parent, we all know the kind of pleas we would be giving to get our child back at EVERY opportunity - I haven't seen this from the McCanns. I certainly didn't see anything that could remotely be construed as a plea last night in the Spanish interview - why not?

It was a wasted opportunity to make a plea, but a fantastic opportunity for more PR and cold Kate to squeeze out some crocodile tears

What in Gods name would a plea to the abductor achieve?
Do you honestly believe he/she/they would look at it and think "oh dear the parents want her back so I'll just drop her off at the nearest police station"
Its a tad naive to think a plea for her safe return would do anything other than give the abductor a sense of control.... I wouldn't beg or plead at every opportunity as it could do more harm than good, and the experts would have told them exactly what to and what not to say.

Completely wasted. There have been several cases where a child( of varying ages and in varying circumstances) has gone missing and the parents have gone on TV to plead for the safe return or for the child to return home. Yet the McCanns have not done this. If they truly believed that Maddie was taken wouldn't it be normal for the parents to plead and beg for her abductor to return her. Maybe they know something we don't.

You're so right, they've pleed for a back a number of ... ooops how many times! If she really believed and wanted us to believe Madeleine's in the adbuctors home she would have looked into the camera and asked for her back! Yet another trip up Mrs. McCann

I guess they think seeing them wracked with pain on TV is enough.
I would have pleaded and I would also have pleaded with the person responsible to own and say what happened through whatever media they wish.
But I do think that sort of thing attracts weirdos who will ring up or write in giving them false leads or taunting them.
I also wonder what purpose its serves all the previous calls they have dimissed as not credible.

The pair of them are running out of ideas. They are trying to win the public back on their side.

Why do you think Tilly?
Its actually an outrageous notion that Madeleine will be in someones house being nicely looked after. This does not happen.

They did make a plea to the abductor, they also get told that abductors will get pleasure from watching the parents in distress, so they are told to try and keep calm.
