Afghanistan didn't like us, but they didn't want the heat of a post 9/11 US attack ether. They were just stupid enough to let Osama stay there. Too bad for them, but there's always a price to pay when you make stupid decisions.

the one simple reason for the attacks was american foriegn policy. Al Qaeda (not afghanistan) did these attacks and the reasons have been stated by them again and again. The US base in Saudi being the obvious one to mention
Now we know that the Taliban offered to han Bin laden over the the US so they wouldnt attack but this wasnt allowed to happen. we know that the Taliban and al qaeda are stonger now than they have been since the invasion of afghanistan and we know that most people wish the US would stop bloody whinging about the 9/11 attacks cos i for one dont case i didnt care then.
As the saying goes "you sew what you reap"

Although at the time, the Taliban was the head-of-state in Afghanistan, the 9-11 attacks were not a state-sponsored action. If the official Afghan Army attacked the U.S., like Japan did in WWII, it would be an act of war, however it was a private terrorist organization which orchestrated and planned the attacks.

Our reason for going to Afghanistan was because that was the terrorists' breeding ground. It is better to take the fight to them, than allow them to fight us on American soil where innocent U.S. civilians would be killed.

Now, Why do terrorists want to hurt us?

People think it is just because of our political stances. THEY ARE WRONG.

Islamic fundamentalists want all of western society destroyed because we are infidels, secular to the teachings of Mohamad.

The Islamic fundamentalist leaders teach that we are devils on earth because we hold different beliefs and that our culture is that sin. They do not believe that people have the right to be self-governing. They do not believe that people should be able to dress, speak, work or act however they choose.

Becuase of this, they feel and teach the need for us to be destroyed and wiped off the face of the earth. This is evident in the group Charters of Hamas, and Al-Queda and even some countries, which state goals 1) Destroy the Nation of Isreal and 2) Destroy Western Culture.

These people must be stopped because their goals are clear AND they have demonstrated their willingness and ability to carry them out, not just in the US, but in Europe and in their own regions as well.

Bin Laden has been trying to destroy the WTC since the 1993 bombing (conspiracy theorists don't claim that was an inside job, for some reason...). Bin Laden saw the WTC the economic symbol of U.S. "imperialism", which he had already declared war on before 1993.

A big part of the Islamofacists' throwback religion is to kill the infidel. They see America as the great Satan. There are numerous reasons that Osama bin Laden hates America but that's the main one.

It's not Afghanistan, but religious fanatics who were being allowed to live in Afghanistan. They have a problem with the American way of life, with modernization and with American foreign policy.

I genuinely believe that 9/11 was an inside job. Bin Laden never had the means to execute such a plot. It's something like the WMD myth in Iraq. History shall soon reveal the truth.

the reason for the attacks on the twin towers: well it's a twisted religious thing for them, they see it as setting them self free to kill Americans. During Ramadon a holy holiday for them, they make more attacks against American's at bases in their countries. There religion is very odd they are just evil you can just see it in their eyes. I served in Iraq for 4 months and worked by them. It's very sad! There will never be complete peace with them it's not possible, but it's good for our soldiers to be over there they really are making a difference, and some Iraqies love us and want us to help them.
