Vitamin A is essential for eye health. You must take 15000 iu(international units) per day.Taking vitamin E simultaneously works adversely to lower the amount of A in the body.
Natural sources of pure vitamin A include liver and milk (if you eat carrots, the vitamin A in the form of carotene will not be used by the eye).
You could also take it in vitmin form perhaps.

Carrots, corn (maize), blueberries and bilberries are all very good for your eye health but they won't actually improve your vision.

Carrots do actually improve your night vision temporarily and the same applies to biberries and blueberries.
