No it will not. The police run the plate number through L.E.A.D.S. to make sure that it matches the actual vehicle. They run the driver's license number through there as well to make sure there are no wants or warrants. This also gives the police a detailed description of everything you have ever been pulled over for! So if you had a speeding ticket a month before...it's gonna show up! This ticket will only count against the driver, not the owner of the car!

The driver - if you gave your car a loan to a friend and they got a speeding ticket it would be the driver not the owner.

The driver, unless the owner refuses to tell the police who was driving at the time they were caught speeding (for speeding cameras) in which case the owner will receive the penalty for not co-operating

Many states CHL holders licenses get taken away for to many speeding violations. First off don't get caught speeding. Also notice the ticket is written out to the drivers license of the offender and address the car is just identified by make model and license plate number.

The ticket (points and fine) count against the driver.
If the speeding was measured remotely i.e. with a camera then the licensinig authority will write to the registered keeper and ask who the driver was.
The keeper has a legal obligation to say who it was or they will have to pay the fine and take the points.

It shows up against the owner of the car unless contact is made with the department who sent the fine to notify them that the owner wasn't driving and that it was actually another person.

It will show up on the driver's record, not the owner's. Lucky for your friend with the CDL, it should not show up on his/her driving record.

they go against the owner if the car was caught on camera...if the car was pulled over the driver gets the ticket...if the owner was not the driver and it was caught on camera he can dispute it by filling out the fine and having the driver sign it...
