hey, as a Chicano, i'm getting tired of all the bullsh*t being spewed by bunch of people who happen to have a chip on their shoulder for no apperant reason. You guy say that we are here to freeload off the system, but in fact we can't because if our national status. We came here to work and for in search of a dream in the same way as the founders of this country did to better their lives. Aren't we heroes too? We came here to better ourselves and risk our lives and leave our families behind and our land and culture in this search of a dream that we all want a part of, and instead we are harrased and treated as inferiors because all we want to do is work and be part of the same hopes and dreams and have the same opportunities as all you have. We are here that in hope that our offspring and future generation can surpass and not live through the same struggle as our parents and grandparents once did. We are the epitomy of the American dream, we risk everything even life for it...Remember.

I agree! I am of Mexican orientation but I am an american citizen, so I see it both ways. It is wrong to verbally abuse the hispanic people, but it is really the issue of illegal immigration that is the cause of these problems. To all you Americans: Can you really blame these people for coming here illegaly? America is like the best country ever! It is full of oppurtunity and hope, but it is so hard to become a citizen, or even get a green card. You people are lucky that you were born here! I'm not saying it's okay to come here illegaly, but if you were living in a country full of crime and poverty and there was a place next door that promises equal oppurtunity for all, wouldn't you want to come here too?

Good morning! I'm very sorry. There are some individuals on this site, as well as other YA sites, that criticize Hispanic people and other groups based on race, culture, sexual orientation, religion, etc. In America, one of our basic rights is freedom of speech. However, it goes both ways. There are community rules on Yahoo Answers. If a question or answer is too offensive, too prejudiced, too extreme -- we have a right and a responsibility to the community to click "Report Abuse". There is an optional box that pops up and you can type in why the question/answer was offensive. Many individuals are good, decent people. But, we have a few who continue to cause problems on this site (and other sites). I'm so glad you spoke up. Wishing you a lovely day! :D

You have been banned for insulting an ethnic group, so which you start up yet another thread with regards to the way you criticized human beings yet that wasn't racist...? no longer very staggering are you? in basic terms stop making posts approximately it.

Ur not the only ones being discriminated against. It's the whoe population meaning blacks, whites, hispanics, thin ppl, fat ppl, bald ppl, hairy ppl, ect. I think u get the point on that. But don't feel alone. I know it's frustrating. But just ignore them and move on with ur live. I'm glad ur tryin to better urself and good luck. It takes alot of hard work. If they harrass u just walk away. It's not worth fighting over. We'll always have ppl discriminate against one another in same way some how.

I understand that you want to take care of your family (very admirable) but you are wrong in saying that your presence doesn't drain the system. You don't pay taxes, flood emergency rooms so you can get treated for free, have esl tutors that taxpayers pay for, get free lunches at school and yet I am always seeing illegals driving brand new s.u.v.s and wearing new clothing. I applaud how hard many of you work but it is for the most part hurting our economy. It has also brought new gang life to areas that were once safe. These are of course generalizations and I am not speaking about you specifically because I don't know you....

Most here do not criticize hispanics that are here legally. It is the illegal immigrants(no matter where they are from) that are the problem. If you want to be treated with respect you have to earn it. Sneaking into the country illegally is not the way to get it.

Don't worry about Internet Tough Guys. They are cowards who don't have the balls to voice their racism in real life so they come online to do it. Feel pity for them, if anything.
