I have a asusu P4VP-MX motherboard and i recently formated ( i had it before formatting) i would just like to know if theres anything i need to install like a cd or something cause i dont have a cd of it?

After formatting you install the OS then all the necessary drivers. If you do not have the drivers CD, download then install the copy from here:

You can download all drivers from the Internet. However there is a catch. If you have an on-board network card, you must have the drivers for this installed and working before you can connect to the Internet to get other drivers. If you have an external network card you also need the drivers for this. Some cards can use drivers installed by the O/S.

So the one driver that must be downloaded before formatting is the network cards driver. Without a working network card you are stuck, unless you have another machine that can connect to the Internet.

Generally speaking, you need your board CD till the time you discard your machine.

But you can install Windows XP and connect to internet so that it will detect and download mostly what is required. Or atleast you can find what you require for your board and download it from net.
