also will I have sound, on the dvd thier were 2 folders, audio ts(which was empty and video ts which i got the 4 segments of the film from)
what software needed?

tryed windows movie maker but it kept crashing

I am no professional in these but CNET's download.com have tools of what you need, some guy/company call STOIK submit few of their such tools to there I happened onto them first so I kinda swears by them.

Try burning all the videos on a single DVD. That should do the trick!!! Actually thats a lazy thing to do. The Best thing to do is reencode it to a full movie using any video editing software, but that takes time. Try SAdobe Aftereffects or Sony Vegas
